In an official statement, PMRDA has appealed to all affected landowners and farmers to attend the meetings with relevant documents.

“All concerned landowners are requested to remain present at the meetings with the relevant documents for discussions on land acquisition, rehabilitation, and resettlement. We also request villagers to share this information with as many affected people as possible.”

Progress So Far

PMRDA has already completed land measurement (moje) in the following villages:

  • Solu (Khed taluka)
  • Vadgaon Shinde (Haveli taluka)
  • Nirgudi / Nirgude (Haveli taluka)

The next phase of meetings will cover Haveli and Maval talukas, with the aim of completing land acquisition through consultation and cooperation with affected farmers.

What Landowners Should Do

If you are an affected landowner in any of the villages listed above:

  1. Attend the meeting for your village on the scheduled date and time
  2. Bring all relevant documents — 7/12 extract, property card, Aadhaar, PAN, and any other land records
  3. Listen to the rehabilitation and resettlement plan
  4. Ask questions — you have the right to clarity on compensation and rehabilitation
  5. Share this information with other affected landowners in your village

What Happens Next

After the village-level meetings in Maval and Mulshi, PMRDA will:

  1. Compile feedback and objections from landowners
  2. Finalize the land acquisition plan
  3. Issue compensation awards
  4. Begin actual land acquisition
  5. Start construction of the 65-meter road

The entire process is expected to take several months, with construction likely to begin in phases.

This Pune Inner Ring Road update is based on the official PMRDA announcement of October 7, 2026.

What This Means for Affected Villagers

The village-level meetings are the most critical stage of the land acquisition process for the Pune Inner Ring Road project. They give affected landowners and farmers a direct opportunity to raise concerns about compensation rates, rehabilitation packages, and resettlement plans.

According to the 2013 Land Acquisition Act, landowners have the right to object to the acquisition, request higher compensation if the offered rate is below market value, and demand proper rehabilitation for any loss of livelihood.

PMRDA has already completed land measurement in Solu, Vadgaon Shinde, and Nirgudi. The meetings scheduled for October 8 and 9 in Maval and Mulshi talukas will cover the next phase of the acquisition process.

For villagers unable to attend the meetings on the scheduled dates, PMRDA has urged them to contact the Land Acquisition Officer’s office directly or send a written representation through their gram panchayat.

For those unable to attend the Pune Inner Ring Road Meetings, PMRDA has asked them to contact the Land Acquisition Officer directly.
